Combined Training (CT) Medal Awards

Riders Must Track Placings and Submit the Form to Earn a Medal

General Requirements

There are two SEPARATE medal programs - one for Horse Trials; one for Combined Tests. Three scores are required for each program - 3 HTs or 3 CTs. HT scores do not count towards the CT Medal and vice versa.

  1. Members who wish to receive an HT/CT medal at the annual awards gala must submit a Medal Award Application no later than November 30. All applications received after November 30 will be held until the following year.

  2. Beginning with results from January 2011 onward. Results do not have to be achieved within a year, this program is ongoing.

  3. An individual must have a current NCDCTA Membership at the time scores are achieved.

  4. A horse must have a current NCDCTA registration to stay in the medal program.

  5. The same score for one level may be applied toward the next level.

  6. You must obtain three different scores at a minimum of two venues.

  7. Venue is defined by location of the event, not the competition. For example, to earn a medal that requires scores be obtained at two separate venues, an individual could not submit scores from three separate competitions all located at the Carolina Horse Park.
